History:
The miraculous medal, also known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, is a medal created by Saint Catherine Laboure following a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The apparation happened in 1830. When the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Laboure, she granted her a vision of the Miraculous Medal, front and back, and she said, "All who wear them will receive great graces."

These powerful words frame the front of the pendant: O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

The back of the Miraculous Medal features an "M" joined with a cross, as well as two hearts which are said to signify the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

For the past century, the Miraculous Medal has been the most popular medal of all time. It is served as a constant physical reminders of devotion.
